GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) and Privacy


GDPR came into effect on 25th May 2018 and this affects how your personal data is held and used by us.

Right to be Informed (Privacy Information)

Showdates UK collects personal data when you Register for an Account; Its use by ourselves is detailed below

Name
This is used to recognise you and is displayed against any account details within Showdates UK.
Username
This is used to validate the User Account (in conjunction with Password) when you login to ShowdatesUK
Password
This is used to validate the User Account (in conjunction with Username) when you login to Showdates UK
Email
This is used to communicate with users only if you have agreed to this on registration. This can be changed at any time within your user account.  Your email will only be used by ourselves and this information will not be passed to any third party..

This privacy information is reviewed regularly and where necessary updated. Any new uses of your personal data will be brought to your attention before any processing of this data commences.
Right of Access

This can be actioned by logging in and then accessing My Account and using the Download Personal Details option.

Right to Rectification

This can be actioned by the User themselves by logging in and then accessing My Account and using the Change Account Details option. Additionally a user can make a request for rectification verbally or in writing.

Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)

This can be actioned by logging in and then accessing My Account and using the Remove Account option.

If you remove your account you will no longer be able to view Events on ShowdatesUK without registering a new Account.. Additionally a user can make a request for erasure verbally or in writing. All personal information stored against this account on will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Right to Restrict Processing

This can be actioned by logging in and then accessing My Account and using the Change Account Details option.

The user may set the Email Opt Out flag on their account to restrict any processing by email.
Right to Data Portability

This can be actioned by logging in and then accessing My Account and using the Download Personal Details option.

Right to Object

Any User has the right to object on grounds relating to his or her particular situation. This can be actioned by the user by logging in and then accessing My Account and using the Change Account Details option.

The user may set the Email Opt Out flag on their account to restrict any processing by email.

If you make this request verbally or in writing then the above actions will be taken on your behalf.
